1 1/2 lbs hamburger meat
1 onion
1 cup bread crumbs
2 eggs
1/2 cup milk
salt & pepper
flour
vegetable oil
Directions:
1. Mix meat, milk, egg, bread crumbs, salt & pepper together until the meat mixture clings together.
2. Form meat into patties and coat with flour.
3. Put patties into pre-heated vegetable oil. Add onion slices. Fry until cooked through.
Homemade Gravy:
1. In the skillet with your leftover drippings, add a cup of flour and stir in half cup of milk.
2. Constantly stir until you have a thick paste.
3. Add more milk and stir/whisk until gravy is the consistency you like.
4. Put steaks and onion back into the gravy and coat.
This is served over rice with black eyed peas on the side.
